Imagine graduating high school knowing as much about investing and insurance as biology and band. That’s pretty much what’s happening in dozens of high schools that have added a Dave Ramsey-developed finance course to their curriculum.

The schools pay nothing for the course materials because Northway Bank covers the entire cost. Northway believes it has a special obligation to help people make good financial decisions, especially in their formative years. Students learn the ABCs of budgeting, borrowing and saving. Parents get some help making sure those lessons aren’t picked up in the School of Hard Knocks. And New Hampshire communities benefit from a broader base of financial know-how.

The number of participating schools has tripled in three years—Northway Bank now underwrites the program for more than half the high schools in the state.

With new branches in Manchester and Portsmouth, we keep strengthening our New Hampshire roots. Visit our newest branches at 29 Cilley Road in Manchester or 750 Lafayette Road in Portsmouth. Even for New Hampshire schools, the right bank makes a real difference.
